Dr. Mario Praschil
Managing Director & Founder CFO

Mario holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He was an analyst for JP Morgan in Frankfurt and New York, where he specialized in management information systems, operations research and internal consulting.

In 1988, he joined an independent portfolio management company for high net worth individuals to start and head its research activities in the area of global asset allocation and quantitative investment analysis. In 1990, the research area was spun off and a new company, P.R.P. Performa AG was established to offer consulting and international portfolio management services to institutional clients. Shareholders were for example Delbrück & Company, one of the oldest German private banks and the Italian Martini-Rossi family. Before founding CFOstrategy & controlling services (CFO) and since 1998 he was a Managing Partner in two family office companies with responsibility for global wealth management, asset allocation, manager and product selection including alternative investments, and investment controlling. Mario set up CFO to provide independent strategy consulting and controlling services for families, high networth individuals, trustees, pension funds, foundations and family offices.

Mario has advised pension funds and foundations on asset allocation issues and international diversification. He has been a speaker on topics such as international portfolio management in Europe and the United States. For a Luxemburg based investment fund he spearheaded the change from a single-manager into the first Luxemburg multi-manager fund. He advised the fund on manager selection and the development of investment policy and guidelines. He has been a lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHW) and has advised an international private bank in the area of financial planning, wealth management and family office.
